Norman was exposed to the world of business at the early age of 20, after graduating with a Diploma in Accountancy. Through his strategic leadership, he has masterminded KRU’s prolific success, putting his unique combination of skills, talent and business acumen to the test.
KRU’s numerous achievements resulted in him receiving the Outstanding Entrepreneur Award in 2007 from the Asia Pacific Entrepreneur Awards. Today, more than twenty years later, he has propelled the Group to the forefront of the world of media and entertainment both domestically and across foreign shores.
Norman’s expertise is sought by many other organizations as reflected by his posts in numerous associations including, Chairman of Recording Industry Malaysia, Vice President of the Malaysian Film Producers Association, IFPI (International Federation of the Phonographic Industry) Main Board and Asia Pacific Board Member and many more. His tireless efforts in the fight against copyright piracy led to him being presented with the MPA Asia – Pacific Copyright Educator (A.C.E.) Award in recognition of his important contribution in working alongside the Motion Pictures Association of America in raising awareness of the importance of promoting content protection in the country.
As the Group’s Executive President, both his business and creative skills are leveraged upon. His creative skills can be seen via his role as Executive Producer of all KRU’s feature films, documentaries, television programmes, animation, music products and events. Meanwhile his business skills shine through as he oversees the Group’s numerous ventures, expansions… and its positioning, both today and tomorrow.

Dr. Shireen graduated with a B.A. in Mathematics & Economics from Reed College, Oregon (USA), after which she obtained her M.Sc. in Management from the Arthur D. Little Management Education Institute (now known as Hult International Business School) in Massachusetts (USA).
After working in Boston for a year, she left the United States of America to pursue further studies in Economics at the London School of Economics and Political Science in London (UK), where she subsequently received her M.Sc. in Economics.
After attaining her Ph.D. in Economics she returned home to Malaysia, where she has had a diverse career that saw her traverse various industries including research, stock broking, investment banking and finally tobacco as multinational JT International’s Regional Head of Corporate Affairs for South East Asia & India. At KRU she is responsible for the overall operations of the Group, and also heads the Group’s international business operations.

Yusry, who showed a natural flair for creative arts since his college days, is an award winning director, who is also a 3-D Animation and Visual Effects specialist. He is the creator and director of the motion pictures, “Cicak-Man” (2006) & “Cicakman 2 – Planet Hitam” (2008). Prior to his entry into the motion picture directing arena, Yusry had directed many award-winning music videos and TV commercials for both domestic and international markets.
His efforts in “Cicak-Man” resulted in the motion picture receiving a Jury Special Award for the use of high-end visual effects in a motion picture at the Malaysian Film Festival 2007. In May 2007, Yusry received the Young Creative Talent Award from The Oxford Centre for Leadership, United Kingdom in recognition of his achievements and great contribution in the area of visual effects and CGI, as demonstrated in the same movie. More recently “Duyung” a motion picture that was enhanced with Yusry’s touch as Visual Effects Director, was awarded a Special Jury Award for the highest Box Office collections for the year 2008.
Other successful projects directed by Yusry include: television commercials for Motion Pictures of America, Samsung, Perodua, Confederation of Malaysian Tobacco Manufacturers and Celcom; music videos for various artistes including Anita Sarawak – “Seksis”, Adam – “Tak Tahu”, Ladylike – “Sick”, visual effects for feature film “Deadline” starring Brittany Murphy & Thora Birch.

His flair is evident in KRU’s vast catalogue of valuable intellectual property in the form of music publishing, recorded audio and video products. Edry’s literary works, which include albums, singles, theme songs, music score and motion picture soundtracks for various blockbuster films have earned him an abundance of accolades.
As a multiple award winning composer, producer, musician and engineer, he has collaborated with many world-class international and local artistes in established studios around the world.
